What is MSM ?
MSM is a naturally occuring organic sulfur compound found in body fluids. It also is found in many foods. MSM is very volatile and lost during cooking. A standard diet of cooked food is not likely to provide sufficient organic sulfur for dietary needs. A large quantity of raw and unprocessed foods is required if sufficient MSM (organic sulfur) is to be gained from diet alone.
MSM is quickly metabolized by the body. MSM is a significant source of organosulfur compounds. These compounds appear in amino acids, serum proteins (blood) and connective tissues (collagen).
